A Timely Book About What It's Like to Be Trans

A hard, but necessary read in today's climate

In today's political climate, it can feel like the wrong people are speaking for (or against) trans rights. Brenda Bradford Ward's book, Forty Years to Life, though, offers a refreshing take on the many nuanced issues trans people and cis both can feel during any time of their lives: coping with gender identity and norms, societal expectations of "femininity", and what it feels like when you're trying to attain the label and feeling of "normal."
